These days, Foxy Brown usually stays out of any tabloid controversy. But drama found the legendary MC yesterday when rumors spread that she’d made the decision to puclibly endorse presidential hopeful Donald Trump. Not surprisingly, fans across the Internet were shocked and baffled by the rumor and began to blast Foxy over it. However, Foxy recently came forward and has finally set the record straight on how she feels about Trump.
The trouble all started when media reports began to claim that Foxy had defended Trump against the countless claims that he’s racist. The reports also claimed that she was throwing her support behind him.
“No matter how many people sabotage his campaign, it keeps growing and growing and growing. I know so many people won’t agree with me and will try to change my mind, but I’m a smart girl. I’m excited…I haven’t been this excited in so long,” Foxy allegedly said.
“I know people say he’s a racist, but that’s just crazy,” she also allegedly said.
It didn’t take long for the alleged quotes to spread across the Internet, and when Foxy got wind of them she quickly responded on her Instagram page. Foxy explained that she was misquoted after giving a statement about Trump and a few other presidential hopefuls when she received the key to the city of Brooklyn recently.
“I AM IN NO WAY ENDORSING TRUMP!!!!! They Tried It Wrong One! What I Said Verbatim Was Trump Had Tenacity, Much Like I Said HILLARY CLINTON I LOVE DEARLY And BERNIE SANDERS I Absolutely ADORE! What Was Supposed To Be An Interview About Me Receiving A HISTORIC KEY TO MY HOMETOWN IN BROOKLYN Turned Into A Trump Grabbing HEADLINE Cuz That’s What Sells Papers. Per Usual, The MEDIA Sensationalizes Everything, Yet NO Mention Of My Glowing Remarks Regarding HILLARY CLINTON Or My Profound Respect And Admiration For BERNIE SANDERS.
SHAME ON THE MEDIA!!!! Typical! And THANK YOU AGAIN TO BISHOP WHITEHEAD And OUR WONDERFUL BROOKLYN BOROUGH PRESIDENT ERIC ADAMS For This Historic Honor He’s Bestowed Upon Me!!!!” Foxy captioned the photo.
And there you have it, folks. That’s one less hip-hop star that Trump can count on for support.
