There seems to be a disconnect from reality for some parents when it comes to children and their safety. Recently, a father in Los Angeles, identified as Auwin Dargin, 24, decided to take a break in his busy day by visiting the Synn Gentleman’s Club in North Hills. The only problem was he had his 9-month-old daughter with him, so he decided to leave the infant in the car while he went into the club. Waitresses and patrons noticed he was leaving every 15 minutes to go to the parking lot. A manager became suspicious and went out to the lot to investigate and discovered the child in the car crying.
The manager and his cousin where able to squeeze an arm through a partially closed window and open the car door. They removed the baby, who was unharmed, and went back into the club to confront Dargin, who was receiving a lap dance from a stripper. The manager stated that Dargin was angry that his lap dance was interrupted and told him, “Just give me my baby and I know I am messing up.” But the manger told him, “You can leave, but you are not leaving with your baby.”
Dargin and another customer started to argue as police were summoned to the club. During the wait for police, Dargin ran out of the club leaving his child behind. Police arrived shortly afterwards and were able to apprehend him as he was leaving. Now, Dargin has been charged with one count of child abuse and his bond was set at $100K and he was released the next day. He appeared in court this week and pleaded not guilty to the child abuse charges. If Dargin is found guilty, he will face up to 6 years in prison.
