Divorce can be an ugly thing. Especially when there’s money involved. It can turn lovers into enemies and enemies into heartless thieves. But every once in a while two people get it right. They part ways amicably and find a way to be friends. Best-case scenario, if children are involved, they learn to co-parent and provide a solid example of love and support for their children.
Over the last few months, stars Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have shown such a united front. After some drama, the two ended a short marriage (just 14 months) that produced their son Sebastian “Bash” Taylor Thomaz. However, they seemed to come together for the sake of putting their child first. With their divorce settlement finalized, Amber and Wiz decided to celebrate their untying in an interesting way.
“Too much fun with my Ex hubby last night & no we didn’t celebrate our divorce we celebrated our love 4 each other cuz that never goes away ❤️,” Rose tweeted on Tuesday, June 7.
Reportedly, the ex-couple celebrated their divorce at a strip club Monday, June 6, in Los Angeles.
As for the actual settlement, which began when they filed in September of 2014, both seemed to come out ok. Rose is officially a millionaire. She was awarded $1 million, of which Khalifa has already paid $356K. She’s also get $14,800 per month from Khalifa for little Sebastian. The two share custody.
Wiz came out ok as well. The rapper gets to keep his collection of ten cars, which includes a ’69 Chevelle, ’68 Camaro, and a ’64 Impala. He’ll also get their Pennsylvania home, so he can continue to represent that “black and yellow.”
Months ago, Rose shared that she and Khalifa will always be close. “Me and Wiz have an amazing relationships. We co-parent very well with our son,” she shared with E! News. “The thing with Wiz, he’s such a good guy. He never ever wants to do anything with me when it comes to work, because he never wants it to look like I only got shine because he was there.”
