Soulja Boy’s had a lot to celebrate this past week when he turned 26 years old. And like any young celebrity, Soulja Boy decided to celebrate the big occasion with a party. However, that celebration came to a screeching halt when one of his friends was shot outside of the studio where the celebration was taking place. Now, new reports have revealed even more details about the shooting.
As previously reported, the shooting took place on July 28 when Soulja Boy decided to celebrate his birthday with a party at a recording studio in Hollywood with some of his friends, including Jamaican singer Sean Kingston. As Soulja and his friends partied, he posted a Snapchat video of his birthday cake and stacks of money that he had in the studio.
All seemed to be going well until one of Soulja’s friends stepped outside for a moment. That’s when a man in a mask apparently pulled up in a car and attempted to rob the victim and eventually shot him.
Although details about the shooting were initially scarce, news stories have revealed that the shooting victim was Soulja’s new artist, Killa J. Sources are also claiming that Soulja now thinks that the robbery attempt was an inside job.
Sources say that when Soulja and his friends initially showed up at the Hollywood studio they noticed a black SUV with four men inside sitting in the parking lot. Although it was a bit odd, Soulja and his crew thought little of it and proceeded into the studio to party.
As the party began to wind down, Soulja and his friends saw on the security cameras that the SUV was still outside. Killa J decided to go outside and investigate the vehicle and apparently that’s when the assailants approached Killa J and mentioned Soulja Boy by name as they demanded that Killa hand over Soulja’s Gucci bag, which is usually filled with the rapper’s money.
Sources say that Killa refused to comply and the men decided to shoot him, hitting him in the arm. Killa is expected to make a full recovery.
Cops still don’t have any suspects in the case, but it’s still believed that the robbers might have been attracted to the scene because of Soulja Boy’s penchant for flashing his money on social media.
