This week, Meow & Barks Boutique is gearing up to host an intimate sip and shop event, headlining none other than “Real Housewives'” Marlo Hampton. With the help of Hampton (and her styling expertise), attendees will get a first look at the lines edgy, daring, and bold pieces such as fancy frocks, sunnies, wearable art accessories, and palazzo pants, while indulging in good conversation, delicious eats and cocktails.
In 2010, fashionista and style expert Traci Evans took a leap of faith, launching Meow & Barks Boutique after working 13 years in corporate America left her uninspired. But, like many entrepreneurs, Evans had to try, try again before finding her niche in providing exclusive fashion apparel and accessories for the everyday women — focusing less on brand names, and more on providing one-of-a-kind capsule collections.
In case you’re unfamiliar, after rising to fame on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “I Dream of NeNe,” Hampton opened her first high-end fashion boutique, catering to the who’s who of Atlanta’s elite. While it was her love of haute couture that gave her entry to the circles of the rich and famous, it was drive and determination that left a mark on her clients.
Earlier this year, the brown skinned beauty was announced the official Style Ambassador for the 10th Annual Atlanta International Fashion Week (AIFW). “I am happy to be aligned with such a positive organization, from fashion week to AIFW’s fashion apprentice program, Paula and her team are making major moves here in Atlanta,” Hampton stated in a press release at the time. Now a respected business owner, it only makes sense the fashion pair would team up to take over the “A’s” fashion scene.
