The world of broadcast journalism has always been predominantly White. As regularly as topics such as race relations, police violence, even immigration are discussed on-air, the anchors, pundits, and reporters often look nothing like their subjects. However, over the last decade or so, many larger news companies have decided to diversify their staff (somewhat) — hiring people of color to work on and off camera.
