Last week, it was reported that reality star Toya Wright is expecting her second child. However, now, we’ve heard it straight from the source.
The author posted a skit on Instagram featuring herself and her daughter Reginae. In the clip, the mother-daughter duo has a session with a therapist who is helping them hash out some “issues.”

The doc runs down a list of possible things that could be ruffling Reginae’s feathers — including pregnancy. Reginae then claps back that it’s not her who is expecting, but her mother. For the big reveal, the 33-year-old gently caressed her growing baby bump.

Of course, it wasn’t long before Wright was flooded with love from fans. “Congratulations hun all the best and god bless,” wrote one user. “God bless your family… it’s a blessing to see you smile. God is awesome,” penned another follower.

Although not much is known about the father of Wright’s child, The Jasmine Brand reports that he’s a sports agent who “manages high-level athletes.” The couple has reportedly been dating for about a year.
The baby is certainly wonderful news for Wright, who has recently suffered a string of tragedies, including deaths in the family — her two brothers were murdered — health complications, and broken relationships.
Wright was most famously linked to her ex-husband, rapper Lil Wayne, who is also Reginae’s father. The former couple wed in 2004 but divorced two years later. Over the years, the former lovebirds have maintained a close friendship while raising their daughter. In 2011, Wright jumped the broom with producer Memphitz. However, in 2015, the pair went their separate ways.
“It’s tough because [MeMpHiTz] he’s like my best friend,” Wright exclusively told rolling out of their split. “It’s hurtful to see him going through everything he is going through. All I can do is really pray for him and this situation. I can’t just sit around and continue to be the blame for the way things have turned out to be.”
