Nelly speaks out after being arrested for suspicion of rape

Nelly responds to rape allegations.

On Saturday, the 42-year-old rapper, real name Cornell Haynes, Jr., was arrested on suspicion of second degree rape in Auburn, Washington. Hours later, the “Just A Dream” recording artist was released from custody without being charged.

Later, he tweeted a response:

He added, “I also want to thank my fans for their unwavering support. They know me. I assure you I will be vindicated. And I assure you, I will pursue every legal option to address this defaming claim. Thank you.”

As previously reported, “At 3:48 a.m. a female called 911 to report that she was sexually assaulted by a male, who is known as the rapper ‘Nelly,'” the Auburn Police Department said in a statement. “The alleged assault was reported to occur on the tour bus that was parked at the listed location. Nelly had performed at the White River Amphitheater just hours before. After Patrol Officers investigated the incident, at 4:37 a.m. Nelly was taken into custody and booked at the SCORE jail facility.”

Meanwhile, upon his release, Nelly’s lawyer told TMZ, “Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation.” The lawyer added, “Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”

Don’t know if it happened or not I’m not the one to judge. But what I’m going to say is there’s a lot of ladies Scotts out there looking for a payday. I suggest that these guys stop putting themselves into institution with there fan’s. There’s a true saying the good have to suffer for the bad, give your fans a good show and see them on the next concert in there city.

Well weather this is real or fake Nelly should of learned from the other brothers Kevin Hart/Usher. This is what’s happening today. It’s all about the Benjamin’s. Like I said before, men stop think with ur penis. We thought Kevin was innocent until the video came and showed Kevin touching the girl. So I quests we will have to see if a video comes out. These bitches know exactly what they are doing. Wish u luck Nelly.

Oh, he didn’t talk about the drugs? He didn’t talk about the cops saying his bus wasn’t displaying the correct legal signage? What about that. His “apologies” don’t mean anything. He ALLOWED this whore onto his bus and he’s “paying” for having done so. Stupid.

If it’s all a lie, CHARGE the female. I am tired of innocent men being charged, serving time & female lied. Women wanted equality, let’s start by charging liers.
