In 2012, CeeLo Green, born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was accused of sexually assaulting a woman he had eaten dinner with in Los Angeles in July of that year. The LA district attorney did not have enough evidence to bring rape charges, and Green was later charged with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance, ecstasy. In August 2014, he pleaded no contest. He was ordered to complete 360 hours of community service and attend 52 Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
