Folks are looking askance at Tyrese in the light of the fact that a new report has surfaced outing the actor for missing – not one, but two – scheduled visits with his daughter.
As we have previously reported, Tyrese has been very demonstrative in displaying his emotion about not seeing his daughter with Norma Gibson, Shayla. Most recently, he told the world that he was going broke from the mountainous legal fees. And he was awaiting a $5M gift from longtime friends Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith. The couple has reportedly denied giving him such a vast “gift,” much less offering it.
The soul singer then cried on video about not seeing his daughter in nearly three months.
“! [sic] need to get to some water to clear my head 77 days without my baby is starting to f*** with me in a real way,” wrote Black Ty.
Interestingly enough, while Tyrese appeared to be in deep depression about not seeing his daughter, the Blast reports that Tyrese could have seen his child but he skipped out on the opportunity — twice.
As the Blast first reported, Tyrese had the option to see Shayla last Saturday and again on Monday, with a court monitor. But Norma Gibson’s legal team says they didn’t “hear from him and the visitation never happened.”
Now it looks like Tyrese will miss another scheduled visit with Shayla because he’s headed to Abu Dhabi.
“I’m headed to Abu Dhabi for the formula 1 races and to see my non judgmental family and to take a much needed break from America and the blogs,” wrote Tyrese.
Norma’s legal team tells us they are baffled as to why Tyrese would pass up the opportunity to spend time with Shayla.
Aleen Khanjian, an attorney for Norma said, “We were disappointed to learn that Mr. Gibson won’t be exercising some of the visits with his daughter that we offered him for the next week.
“Wherever he is, we hope he’s getting the help he needs to be the father Shayla truly deserves.”
