In the past 10 to 15 years, the names Jay Z and Beyoncé have been ubiquitous and synonymous with success and all that is amazing with the world. If you have not heard of these two superstars, I would have to assume that you are from another planet, and even then it would surprise me if Martians came to invade the planet with “Crazy In Love” playing as their soundtrack. Jay Z has gone from drug dealer to philanthropist and art collector and Beyoncé is queen of everything. So it makes since that they keep the momentum going while they are on their tour together.

During their most recent stop of their “On The Run II” tour The Carter’s as they are now known dropped their newest project Everything Is Love. Only they can do it like this. Only Beyoncé and her husband can make the world stop and listen to this latest serving to the world.

Everything is Love starts of with the ’70s vibe rub a dub called “Summer.” Beyoncé’s voice sounds strong and determined as she summons her husband to her love. Of Course Jay drops a hot sixteen with an effortless delivery. They jump into 2018 sensibilities with the Migos on the adlibs with the song ApeS**T. Beyoncé really is not playing around on this song “Gimmie my check, put some respect on my check pay me in equity watch me reverse on the decks” She’s pretty much rapping on that joint and of the course “Mr. Top 5” will not be outdone as he goes apes**t on the track. “I’m like Chief Keef meet Rafiki who been lion king to you?”

The album is a good marriage between hip-hop and R&B, pun intended. The track “713” is the best example of this as Jay lays the foundation with his bragging and Beyonce sprinkles her vocals in as they borrow some cadence from Dr. Dre. The summer is going to belong to this couple for sure.

What did you think of the album? What is your favorite track?
