Kanye West took time to blast Nick Cannon and Drake over sex claims involving Kim Kardashian. On Sept. 20, Kanye posted a video on Instagram sharing his thoughts on men who have mentioned his wife.
Kanye started the three-minute rant by sharing that his mind was more clear since he was no longer in the “sunken place.” He immediately went after Nick Cannon who, in an interview with Complex, said that it was possible that Drake and Kim Kardashian may have had sex in the past.
“First of all I want to address Nick Cannon,” Kanye responded in the video. “I understand that you used to date my wife but you get an interview, don’t mention my wife. If someone brings my wife up, you say ‘I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’”
Kanye also addressed Drake who has yet to deny the rumor that he had a sexual relationship with Kim Kardashian.
“People making rumors or thinking you f— my wife and you’re not saying nothing…that don’t sit well with my spirit,” West continued.
“You know, if I had a girlfriend from Chicago, her name was Renita, and you was married to Rihanna, I wouldn’t make no song called Riri. So when you’re like, ‘Ahhh I don’t know where it come from,’ you too smart for that bro,” West said, referring to Drake’s hit, “KeKe Do You Love Me.” “You know where that come from. Don’t make no record with nothing that can be confused.”
Kanye was also upset at Drake for mentioning that a lyric that involved Kylie and Kendall Jenner. He said the lyric was disrespectful because Kylie and Travis Scott recently had a baby together. In the unreleased song, Drake reportedly raps, “I got 20 motherf—g Kylie’s, I got 20 damn Kendalls.”
Kanye finished his rant by saying, “So, period is like don’t speak on nobody from my family, nothing that can be even mentioned on my wife, period!”
The rant comes weeks after Kanye apologized to Drake in a tweet by posting, “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew… I understand where the confusion started. Let me start by apologizing for stepping on your release date in the first place … We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with [Kid] Cudi at our office.”
The beef appears to just now be in the beginning phase as Drake recently dissed Kanye on the song “No Stylist,” by rapping, “Keep it a G, I told her don’t wear no 350s ’round me. Yeezys 350s,” referring to Kanye’s 350s adidas sneaker line.
