Lamar Odom continues to find himself in the middle of life-threatening situations. The embattled ex-NBA star and former husband to Khloe Kardashian was recently involved in a situation where he was kidnapped over money.
In June, Odom borrowed $10,000 from loan sharks to gamble while in Portland, Oregon. But after a night of bad decisions and bad luck, Odom lost all of the money.
The bookies discovered that Odom did not have enough money to pay them back, and they began harassing him and his family.
One month after that ordeal, Odom moved to China where he signed with the Shenzhen Leopards in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Odom reportedly still owes the bookies $5,000.
In 2015, Odom was admitted into the hospital after falling into a coma. The former NBA star was on life support, and there was a big chance that he wouldn’t survive. Odom’s health improved, however, and he has been able to return pro basketball.
