In a cell phone video, that eventually went viral, Tone Loc can be seen having an expletive-filled argument with a White woman and a White man.
“F— all the Confederate s—,” Tone Loc yelled at the man and woman.
The woman yelled back at Tone Loc, “This is f—- America. It is freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to wear whatever he wants to.”
Two White police officers eventually approached the scene and walked directly to Tone Loc, basically ignoring the White couple.
The cops put Tone Loc in handcuffs and he responded by saying, “You don’t have to touch me, but you are going to let him go.”
The White couple and the kid eventually walked away.
Tone Loc was reportedly detained but was not arrested.
In the 1980s, Tone Loc released major hits which included “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina.”
