Nineties R&B fans have something to celebrate. Aaliyah will join the likes of Michael Jackson, Tupac, Beyoncé and more entertainment legends who have been immortalized as wax figures.
Madame Tussauds of Las Vegas will honor the Princess of R&B with her own wax figure in their throwback room. Fans can pay tribute to the late icon as the museum opens on August 22, 2019.
Madame Tussauds made the big announcement via their website:
“Got to Give it Up for Aaliyah as she joins the rest of the ‘90s crew in our throwback room for all of baby girl’s fans to pay homage to the ‘Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number’ songstress. Go ‘Back and Forth’ with Aaliyah as you jam and reminisce with the iconic singer at our attraction. Fans know Aaliyah’s love is ‘One in a Million,’ and can now make it go on and on with The Aaliyah App. Created by Aaliyah’s brother, Rashad Haughton, fans can post videos related to music, dance, art, makeup and more to celebrate the iconic singer, actress, and fashion icon.”
The official Instagram of Aaliyah Haughton managed by representatives of the Haughton Estate made the announcement on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019.

The young singer tragically died at 22 in a plane crash as she was flying back to the U.S. from her “Rock the Boat” video shoot in the Bahamas.
