La Toya T. Haynes is a strategic human resources professional who serves as an ecosystem partner at Intuit. She has a bachelor’s in business management from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a master’s in organizational development and executive coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Haynes is also a professional certified coach, the mother of two daughters and an author, who published her first novel, Bittersweet, in 2013.
As a Black woman, what do you consider your superpower to be?
As a Black woman, I consider my superpower to be my flexibility [and] adaptability. I have been able to listen, observe and adjust to a wide variety of work environments and business situations over the years.
What key qualities make you unique as an African American female leader?
I am future-focused and lead with a strong mind and an empathetic heart. I am willing to listen and help others create a strategy to get their needs met. I have been able to reinvent myself throughout my career and defy the odds by entering spaces where there were no Black women before me. Click here to continue
