Vonna Matthews celebrates mompreneurs and supports female-focused causes

Our legacies are determined by the footprints we leave behind, not by how successful we are now. If more seasoned women want to see a significant change in culture, politics, business and community, we must teach what we’ve learned, reveal what we’ve seen and pass on what we believe. I truly believe that our future lies in the hands of the generations behind us.

What are three success habits do you implement into your daily routine to maintain your success, sanity and peace of mind?

I wake up with my mind focused on God, whether that is through prayer, meditation or Bible study.

I maintain healthy interactions as much as possible throughout the day. That involves how I treat others and how I allow them to treat me.

I take breaks when necessary. I am learning more and more to set boundaries and say no.

As a successful woman in business, what is your proudest achievement?

My most cherished achievement at this point is the work I’ve done through For Her Media. In addition to forming two premier magazines, CEOMOM and CEOKID, we’ve also developed the CEOKID Leadership Conference in partnership with Emory University. It’s a blessing to have a socially responsible company that is helping various ministries and organizations to raise funds and awareness for causes that impact women.
