Stacey Dash’s honeymoon period did not last very long. The outcast actor and Clueless star, was arrested for laying hands on her new spouse, Jeffrey Marty, her fourth husband.
The two were just married in a private ceremony this past spring, TMZ stated.
According to TMZ, the police were called to Dash’s home in Pasco County, Florida, about a 35-minute drive north of Tampa. When they arrived, officers learned that Dash had pushed and slapped Marty.
When officers observed scratch marks on Marty’s arm, they slapped the cuffs on Dash and took down her to the county lockup. She was being held on $500 bail as of the last report.
According to the entertainment outlet, it is customary for the county to hold on to the offending party for a “24-hour cooling off” period before releasing them.
Dash, who also starred in the classic comedy Mo’ Money as well as Moving and BET’s “Single Ladies” from 2011-2015, began incurring the wrath of Black America when she began speaking out against urbanites as a prized conservative contributor for Fox News.
Dash was particularly demonized when she said there was no need for the BET Awards and NAACP Image Awards a few years back. But Dash’s political aspirations died when she ran for a southern California congressional seat in 2018, but quickly dropped out after being seen as a laughingstock candidate.
