Tyler Lockett shocked NFL fans after he revealed that he has never experienced a sexual relationship. The 27-year-old Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver made the revelation in his debut book of poetry, Reflection.

Lockett wants to wait until marriage to lose his virginity.

Although it’s unusual for a person to be a virgin during adulthood, several celebrities have practiced abstinence.

Here are five Black celebrities who remained virgins in their 20s and 30s.

Lolo Jones

During an episode of “Celebrity Big Brother,” the track-and-field star discussed her love life and revealed that she was a 36-year-old virgin. “Another reason why I’m probably single is because I’ve never had sex and guys do not want to wait for girls,” she said. She believes the lack of sexual intimacy has caused men to lose interest. Jones remains single.

A.C. Green

In 1989, A.C. Green of the Los Angeles Lakers said that he was a virgin and decided to wait until marriage to have sex. Green’s teammates would send women to his hotel room, but he would always turn down the offer to engage in sex. He remained a virgin his entire NBA career and did not have sex until 2002 when he married his wife of 17 years Veronique Green.
