Approximately six months after the tragic execution-style murder of legendary rapper Nipsey Hussle, a Los Angeles County court has granted custody of his 10-year-old daughter, Emani Asghedom, to his surviving family members.

Hussle’s family had been embroiled in a bitter battle for custody of Emani with her biological mother, Husssle’s ex-girlfriend Tanisha Foster, aka China Hussle, ever since his death. The family stated that Foster could not provide a stable and safe environment for raising the young girl.

Emani Asghedom was already living with Hussle when he was slain in front of The Marathon Clothing store he owned in South Los Angeles.

In related news, in a different LA County court, Hussle’s last girlfriend, actress Lauren London, has been granted guardianship over the son she shared with Hussle, three-year-old Kross Asghedom. This gives London rights to be involved in all legal matters with the Hussle estate when it concerns her son.

London and Hussle began dating in 2013 but were never married.

Hussle shot to fame through his mixtapes which include The Marathon and Crenshaw. He was bold and creative enough to sell the Crenshaw tapes for $100 each. And when Jay-Z bought up 100 of them, Hussle’s brand recognition took off like a rocket.

Hussle, who was born Ermias Asghedom 33 years ago, came out with his debut album, Victory Lap, in February 2018 — his only official album before he was killed. He was nominated for best rap album at the 2019 Grammys.
