Who needs Madea, anyway?
Tyler Perry is on fire these days. Just weeks after Perry hosted an awe-inspiring celebrity party at his Atlanta studio, the movie mogul will now host the Democratic national debates at his sprawling Tyler Perry Studios complex in November.
This news comes just as it was announced that Perry will be hosting an open casting call for yet another new show called “Bruh.” And that news follows the debut of his highly-rated shows “The Oval” and “Sistas,” which debuted last week.
Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams confirmed that the Dems will host their fifth debate in a Twitter post:
Democratic Debate site is set: @TPStudios is a model for Georgia’s vibrant film industry, an engaged corporate citizen and an exceptional location for our #DemDebate. Looking forward to welcoming the candidates to Georgia on November 20. #gapol

The fifth Democratic debate, scheduled to be televised live on Nov. 20, will feature an all-female panel, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, including Rachel Maddow; Andrea Mitchell, host of “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC; Kristen Welker, NBC News’ White House correspondent; and Ashley Parker, a White House reporter for The Washington Post.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the behemoth 12-studio complex near downtown Atlanta is the largest film and TV production campus ever owned by a Black man. It is also larger than “Paramount, Warner Bros. and Walt Disney’s Burbank studios combined.”
