So what you are doing is the new wave, kind of a new era in Atlanta music?
Exactly. Doing things for independent artists, it’s something that I’ve been having in my mind since 2011. God is starting to bless [us] and it’s starting to come into fruition. Now you’re starting to see the benefits of the hard work and the labor. So it’s great.
I want to provide structure to independent artists, a place they can come to and get critical services because I used to be an independent artist and I had nowhere to go. I want to help independent artists build their careers and teach them about the business.
All eyes are on Authentic Empire. You are about to make major moves for Atlanta and the music industry. How do you feel in your skin right now?
It’s a blessing. I remember when it wasn’t like this. I don’t take any moment or any day, or any situation for granted. I take meetings. I appreciate everybody that gives them (meetings) to me because I know what it feels like when people don’t. I’m humbled and I’m hungry at the same time for everything.
