“Wu-Tang: An American Saga” is slated to return this fall. The series also stars Ashton Sanders and Shameik Moore. Anthony also recently announced that she has joined the cast of the 50 Cent’s “Black Mafia Family” which will be based on the lives of drug kingpins Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. She’ll play Markaisha Taylor, the wife of a flamboyant drug dealer befriended by Meech and Terry in the upcoming Starz series.
Anthony and 50 Cent are also teaming up for a TV project based on Cyntoia Brown-Long’s book Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System. A victim of sex trafficking and forced into prostitution, Brown-Long served 15 years of a life sentence for killing a man when she was 16 years old and was originally sentenced to 51 years before being granted clemency in Tennessee in 2019. Rihanna, Drake, Kim Kardashian and Anthony were among the Brown-Long supporters who rallied for her freedom. Anthony and 50 will serve as executive producers for the series that will air on Starz as well when it is released.
