Ye extends olive branch to end beef with Drake

Ye also made waves as the first half of his interview on the “Drink Champs” podcast aired this week with DJ EFN and Nore. During the interview, Ye spoke that he is working with Larry Hoover Jr. who is also a political activist. The younger Hoover’s segment on the podcast will air at a later date during the second half of Ye’s interview where he will address his father’s plight as well as trying to curb the violence in Chicago’s streets.

During the “Drink Champs” interview, Ye further spoke on his battle with Drake and clarified that he didn’t hate his fellow MC from Canada but called their drama “professional rap” and the banter between the two was just “psychological” war. He mentioned as well that the two artists made too much money for too many different people for anything to happen to either one of them so a physical confrontation was never going to happen.

J Prince also mentioned their latest meeting on Twitter and stated that the two were joining forces for a greater good.

“I met with @kanyewest night in Htown at the Rothko Chapel. It wasn’t in my plans to meet him there but I must say I’m glad I didn’t allow a worship place for God to detour our meeting… So I met with@kanyewest to pass on the message from my brother Larry Hoover who said he would like to see peace between the two of them. Ye received this well and said thanks because he never had anyone that sat him down and explained things to him the way I did. I’m looking forward to all of us working together in unison to elevate our communities around the world,” J Prince posted on Twitter.

Ye previously advocated for Hoover’s release when he met with former President Trump in 2018. Larry Hoover Jr. appears on the track “Jesus Lord” on Donda where he details the effect his father’s incarceration has had on his family. Check out Ye extending an olive branch to Drake below.
