Legendary vocal powerhouses Stephanie Mills and Chaka Khan faced off in ‘A Night for the Queens’ Verzuz event on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The event was held at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, CA and was powered by Hallmark Mahogany, which is on the journey from being a greetings card brand to a lifestyle brand.

In a tradition of honoring, celebrating and enhancing relationships between families and friends, Hallmark Mahogany helped to create a culturally historic moment in time by bringing together two highly revered musical icons from the Black culture.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the incredible moments we’ve brought to life with our Triller and Verzuz partners. This Triller and Hallmark Mahogany partnership has been months in the making — reflective in our incredible work together for the Assembly of Black Creators and the magic we experienced during the Chaka Khan and Stephanie Mills VERZUZ,” remarked Alexis Kerr, VP Hallmark Mahogany.

“At Hallmark Mahogany, we are committed to uplifting and empowering Black creators and artists everywhere, being deeply rooted in our community and always staying in step with culture. Our partnership with Triller and Verzuz fully aligns with our brand mission and we’re proud to collaborate in these ways. We thank our partners and everyone who tuned in to celebrate our legendary queens!” Kerr continued to say.

The event was full of nostalgia, timeless songs that remain relevant and popular in today’s time, as well as heartfelt sisterhood moments. Each of the singer/songwriters took turns belting out hits from their brimming catalogs as well as showcased their respective dancing skills. They even brought out their children to help them sing one of their hit songs.
