R. Kelly was sentenced far out of proportions to his crimes, says controversial rapper Boosie Badazz.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, rapper is known for his hot takes and fearlessly spitting his life’s perspectives as he sees it regardless of the subsequent backlash he incurs with regularity.
Boosie said the 30 -ear prison sentence that Robert Sylvester Kelly, 55, got doesn’t make sense since he didn’t “kill anyone.”
“People getting 15 to 20 years for murder and he gets 30!” Boosie railed on Twitter. “Yes he was wrong af for manipulating young girls and sexing them😞but he didn’t kill anyone, aggravated rape anyone. N no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man‼️ College professors get probation for this s–t,” Badazz continued.
Even though the life and career of one of the most prolific songwriters in American history is now over, Boosie believes that Kelly’s life still has redeemable value with a shorter sentence.
“Get this man some help and some jail time but don’t give him a death sentence, 30 years‼️” Boosie added in a follow-up post. “Maybe he can one get out one day and warn these young girls about older predators and make a difference. But 30 years – like come on world‼️“
Boosie has gone off on a tirade about R. Kelly before. In December, Boosie also took to Twitter to rage about how the legal system and media are “exaggerating” the circumstances of his sexual haram in Chicago and Atlanta.
“All that s—, seducing and kidnapping and all this shit in somebody’s house, if you leave a b—- at the house and you go on tour for two weeks and she don’t go nowhere, that b—- ain’t been kidnapped,” Boosie opined. “She waiting on daddy to come home. You know, a b—- ain’t been kidnapped. B—- ain’t been sexualized if she been in the bed with three, four women. You know, she hasn’t been taken advantage of, because she is willing. She is willing. He just f—– up on the age part … if he did it. I’m not saying he’s guilty or if he did do it, it’s because of the age. The rest of that s—, they exaggerating, bro.”
If Boosie is angry now, just wait until the results of Kelly’s state trial on similar charges which is due to start in 2022.
