There may be confusion on which Southern beauty is the queen of OWN’s “Love & Marriage Huntsville,” but it’s clear the city of Huntsville, Alabama, loves Stormi Steele. Canvas Beauty’s CEO recently celebrated her birthday with a festival for the entire city highlighting female entrepreneurs and local artists. Over 750 attendees enjoyed live music and entertainment on Steele’s multimillion-dollar ranch located on over 50 acres. Huntsville mayor Tommy Battle sent a letter congratulating Steele on her fifth year of business and thanking her for the impact Canvas Beauty has had on the business community of Huntsville.
In addition to inviting Huntsville families to her property, Steele invited other entrepreneurs to participate in the festivities. With the majority of the businesses led by Black women, Steeele says her goal was to use her platform to promote other companies with products and services to an audience they may not have met if not for participating in her event.
“I’ve always spent my birthday celebrating those around me, so this year wasn’t any different. My husband and I opened our home to the community to celebrate with us. We know if not for our immediate and extended community supporting Canvas, we wouldn’t be where we are today, so it feels right to include them in my celebration. I know I’m blessed, and I love to bless others,” Steele said.
Since joining the cast of “Love & Marriage Huntsville” two seasons ago, Steele has continued to be a fan favorite despite the ups and downs of her relationship with the other ladies on the cast. Steele assumes her fans are real because she insists she isn’t planning on switching her energy for a television camera.
“With me, what you see is what you get. I’ve shared a lot more about my past and now that my mother is on the show with me, people get to see where I come from,” Steele said.
One of the most significant parts of Steele’s current storyline is her desire to have another child.
“I had a hard labor with my son and I don’t think I realized how hard it was for my husband Courtney to watch me go through that. We know we want to add on to our family but we’re just trying to figure out what that looks like,” she revealed.
In addition to various entrepreneurs and businesses, the entire cast of OWN’s “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” attended Steele’s Party in the Pasture along with Latrice Rogers from “Belle Collective,” actress Shuntel Renay, credit guru Amber Jones, Chef Q and a host of Huntsville influencers.
“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” airs Saturdays at 8 p.m. EDT on OWN.
