DJ Akademiks wants to clear his name regarding recent sexual assault allegations made against him by ex-girlfriend Ziya Abashae.
In a recent livestream on Rumble, Akademiks proclaimed that false “narratives were being created” before showing a video of Abashae yelling in his house and explaining she was “upset because she was being talked about in a disparaging way online” and not that she was being assaulted.
The podcaster then directly addresses Abashae’s accusation that she was gang-raped by him and his friends.
“This situation went to the cops over a year and a half ago,” he proclaimed. “Me and my lawyer were openly cooperative because [when it comes to] serious allegations — I don’t care who’s involved — I don’t want weird s— happening around me.”
“We helped the police,” he continued. “‘Whatever you need! You want a phone? You want passcodes? Let’s decrypt our DVR.’ There is nothing they did not see … You know what the result of that investigation was? It was officially ruled by the D.A. and the police that there was nothing there. There ain’t no charges; there won’t be no charges and there’s documentation to say, ‘We looked at everything — everybody’s clear.’ Not only for me, for everybody involved.”
Later in the livestream, Akademiks took the time to throw thinly veiled shots at old rivals Meek Mill and Freddie Gibbs, both of whom he believes would be more than happy to see his demise.
“There [have] been numerous individuals who probably felt a way about me over the years,” the podcaster said, referencing Meek Mill. “Maybe their career wasn’t doing that good. They had to do some bunny-hopping for billionaires, had to sell their houses; they got dropped from their label. They might have thought that I was one of the reasons why their situation went down.”
“Maybe I clowned them about them getting beat up twice, getting jumped, ran out of a m—–f—— BBQ spot,” he said about Freddie Gibbs. “Your baby momma getting piped out while your baby’s in her gut on camera, maybe on a Fan Bus. Maybe I was gonna put up $10,000 to name your kid … These are the people you’re going to see the loudest in trying to spread lies against me.”
