It is ironic Sean “Diddy” Combs won “Entertainment Tonight’s” unofficial celebrity Halloween costume contest two years ago — dressed as Pennywise, the grotesque clown from Stephen King’s horror classic It — because that is one of the people that he’s being compared to since his indictment.
Multiple media outlets report that costumes that feature Diddy or items related to his all-consuming scandal have been flying off the shelves in the past several weeks, in advance of Halloween.
Of course, among the most popular products being sold are lubricants with Diddy’s name or face on them, most particularly baby oils. The costumes include full Diddy face coverings, baby oil t-shirts and other products, TMZ reports. This stems from federal agents reportedly finding over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and similar items during the April 2024 raids of his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.
Diddy is now languishing inside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, until his trial in May 2025. He was indicted on sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution charges related to his debaucherous “Freak Off” parties he allegedly hosted since the 1990s. He faces a minimum of 15 years up to life if he is found guilty.
Meanwhile popular nickname for Diddy has become the “Diddler,” which Dictionary.com defines as someone who “swindles and cheats others.”
