Stevie J reportedly owes $1.2 million in child support
Although he claims to be well paid due to reality TV fame and production credits, “Hitman” Stevie J is apparently having issues paying child support. The “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star is currently being blasted by his ex for skipping out on child support payments for several years. Carol Bennett claims that J, whose real name is Steven Jordan, owes her $1.2 million in back support payments for their two children.
According to court documents, J’s negligent payments span from 1999 to 2013. During that period of time, he paid over $130,000 in support — a drop in the bucket considering he’s still over $1 million behind. Bennett will hold a press conference Thursday, Oct. 31 in New York to address what she calls a “historical child support case.” If a judge rules in Bennett’s favor, J could face jail time.
Before news broke of the exorbitant amount J owed to Bennett, rumors swirled that his driver’s license was revoked due to back support payments, hence why he was never seen driving on his hit television show.
J is a father of five; Dorian Jordan, Eva Jordan, Stevie Jordan Jr., Savannah Jordan and Sade Jordan. Bennett is believed to be the mother of Stevie Jr. and Savannah Jordan.
