Looking at Shakira, one would never guess that it’s only been seven months since she gave birth to her baby boy, Milan.
Before baby, the Columbian beauty’s workouts consisted of lots of dancing. She also continued using dancing as her source of exercise throughout her pregnancy as she trained with Zumba creator Beto Perez. “I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy,” she reveals. “That helped me not gain too much weight.”
Shakira’s diet plan included eight mini meals a day. Each meal was 250 calories or less.
She went back to her love for dancing and Zumba four to five times a week and added 30 reps of held pliés and glute squeezes to get her butt muscles toned as well, which helped her drop the bulk of her weight just two months after giving birth. She also did yoga as a way to relax and stretch after all that dancing.
“I don’t obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection.”
