Christ Universal Temple in Chicago presented a “Stop the Violence” concert at its church located in west Pullman. More that 400 youth showed up and packed the audience to listen to local and national talent and supporters speak and sing against violence in Chicago. Featured guests included Diggy Simmons; 2012 NAACP Outstanding New Artist award recipient, OMG Girlz, whose lead singer is the daughter of rapper-actor T.I.; and Joshua’s Troop. The Rev. Derrick Wells and state Senator Napoleon Harris offered words of inspiration.
