Meek Mill had one of the most impressive guest lists of the year at his Dreams and Nightmares album listening party. The party, which took place at Electric Lady Studio, Jimi Hendrix’s famous NYC studio, brought out top celebrities Jay-Z, Will Smith, The-Dream, NY Giant Victor Cruz, Estelle and many more. Of course, Maybach Music Group‘s Rick Ross and Wale were on hand to help celebrate Meek Mill’s highly anticipated album.
The event was hosted by Angie Martinez and D’USSE Cognac. The rapper failed to show up on time, consequently missing greetings from a few big names.
“Jay-Z and Will arrived around 8:45,” says an insider. “But [Mill] was late, so they missed him.”
Apparently Jay-Z wasn’t checking on Meek Mill’s new music, but the new brand of Cognac that he’s endorsing.
“Jay-Z wanted to see how the D’Ussé cognac was being received by people at the party,” adds the insider.
Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares features Nas, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige, Big Sean and a number of other industry heavy hitters on his upcoming album, which is due out Oct. 30.
