A few notable rappers with histories of feuding have made very public declarations distancing themselves from their combative pasts. In late 2013, Southern hip-hop superstars Rick Ross and Jeezy began to close the book on their beef; one that began in 2010 with what both have since labeled a misunderstanding. And this week, two New York-based rhymers with a history of tension finally put their feud to rest, as well.
For several months, Young Money fans have speculated about the interpersonal relationships between some of the label’s biggest stars. In particular, Drake has seemed to be scrutinized the most. Many believed the Toronto native is distancing himself from other notables in the YMCMB camp–including fellow label star Nicki Minaj. During a recent interview with Hot 97, Nicki was asked about the perceived estrangement between she and Drizzy.
Rick Ross and Jeezy fans were surprised when the two rappers, who had been feuding for years, finally set aside their differences. The pair appeared on the track “War Ready,” a song slated to be included on Ross’ upcoming album, Mastermind.
