What famous fragrances fall under the house of Guerlain?
Shalimar, its 86-years-old, one of the top 10 fragrances in the world. One of our oldest fragrances, [it is] the first oriental fragrance ever produced in the world. We have fragrances that are not sold here in the States. We have specialty fragrances, we have everyday fragrances, and we are a beautiful company.
How do you maintain a work-life balance, especially with a toddler?
I have a 4-year-old and I balance it, but it definitely took some work.
The job is demanding and the higher up you get, the heavier the demands are. But thank God, he’s now in preschool and I have a pretty consistent schedule, normally I’m off on Sundays and Mondays. And I say off, and that means no communication with anyone in the industry.
How do you stay mentally and physically fit in such a demanding profession?
Mentally, I’m a Christian so everything revolves around Christ in my life, from the beginning of the day until the end of the day. My work ethic stems from my Christianity to be quite honest, and every move I make is couched in that. Physically, I could lose a few pounds, and I’m working on that.
