Donald Driver Finally Gets a Perfect Score
No dancer this season has shown more drive and endurance than Donald Driver, and this week, all of his hard work finally paid off. For his re-do routine, Donald and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, were challenged to give their Argentine tango, which Len deplored, another go. Carrie Ann and Bruno thought Donald’s new Argentine tango was much improved and gave him 10’s, but Len thought Donald’s routine was “careful” and only gave him a 9, much to the dismay of the audience.
However, Donald came back with a vengeance for his freestyle routine, in which he and Peta channeled the pride of his Green Bay Packer days and donned green and yellow cowboy costumes. And on the dance floor, Donald used all of his athleticism for a country routine full of lifts, lifts and more lifts. Thankfully, for Donald, his moves were enough to lift him to the proverbial mountaintop as Len finally awarded him a 10, matching the other judges scores to give him his first perfect score of the season and a final score of 59.
