Pinkett decided to take up dance and choreography at the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts, where she befriended a future legend in the late, great Tupac Shakur. They maintained a strong friendship until his violent passing a decade later. They both caught the entertainment bug in high school when they performed a video together at the amusement park King’s Dominion, where they lip-synced to, ironically, to Will Smith’s (Fresh Prince at the time) “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” In the video, Tupac plays the MC, and Jada is a dancer.
