But her star rose even more when she experienced crossover success with her role of the love interest to Eddie Murphy’s Dr. Klump in the hilarious Nutty Professor in 1996. She was already an established star when she married her future husband in 1997, and together, they climbed to heights neither could have scaled without the other.
