Rickey Smiley brought several of his celebrity friends to his “Rickey Smiley Show” Red Carpet Launch this week at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta. The comedian and radio show host introduced the attendees to his two new television show that premiered this week.
“Dish Nation,” Smiley’s syndicated gossip show that can be seen locally at midnight on weekdays on Fox 5, will feature five different radio shows who comment comically on the local pop culture news of the day. Rickey Smiley’s second show, “The Rickey Smiley Show,” a family friendly sitcom, debuted Tuesday night on TV One at 9 p.m. The sitcom, which is a fictionalized version of his life as a single dad with three kids, juggling his radio job, brings friends including, Musiq Soulchild, Waka Flocka Flame and respected radio rival Tom Joyner on-screen for a few cameos.
Other celebrities who will be on the show include Ray J, comedian J Anthony Brown, Roz Ryan, of “Amen, Jay Lewis, Noree Victoria, Demetria McKinney, and R&B/Pop artist Ajiona Alexus.
Celebrities in attendace included, but weren’t limited to Toya and Memphitz Wright, TLC’s Chilli, “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s” Erica Dixon, and the Braxton family.
