Williams stumbled upon the green plant later in life, but for very good reasons. After his 1999 diagnosis for Multiple Sclerosis, and he was unsuccessful in finding anything to suppress his symptoms. He tried all sorts of pain killers; none worked, and all had horrible side effects. So he decided to try medical marijuana and found out that it works.
