Future and Epic Records announce new joint venture company

Atlanta’s Future has announced the forming of a joint venture company with Epic Records for his imprint, Freebandz Entertainment. Coming on the heels of the success of Future’s Pluto and Pluto 3D projects, the new venture will set the stage for Freebandz artists’ emergence. And Future said, via a statement, that the deal makes perfect sense after the way Epic handled his debut album this year.

“L.A. Reid and the team at Epic made a great impact on my career helping me to reach an incredible level of success with Pluto,” he explains. “It made perfect sense to fully partner with them with my label, Freebandz.”

Future will be releasing the Freebandz mixtape, Future Presents FBG: The Movie on Jan. 13, 2013. The project will introduce his artists to the world, and he debuted the artwork for the project Dec. 17th

The artwork is symbolic and broken down thusly:  The mask symbolizes the foes FBG has surpassed on their way to the top. The spiked Louboutin shoe represents FBG’s defense and strength developed along the way while the Louis Vuitton luggage with cash pouring out depicts where Future’s efforts have allowed him to soar, enabling him to provide for his family and loved ones.
