Rihanna’s Grandmother
In June singer Rihanna mourned the loss of her grandmother Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite who lost a lengthy battle with cancer. Braithwaite who Rih called her ‘Gran Gran Dolly’ is still spoken of by the songstress who recently donated $1. 75 million to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown Barbados in her honor.
The hospital cared for Gran Gran Dolly until her passing and renamed its radiotherapy department the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.
The tattoo Rihanna recently had inked across her chest is also said to commemorate her late grandma.
