Michael-the-sheriff and Warren-the-firefighter both auditioned with country flavor. Both men proudly wore their cowboy boots and came to be known as the “male country singer section” of Adam’s team. Although Levine noted that Michael better captured the ‘Aldean-ness’ of the song, he went with Warren as his choice to stay.
