The mothers who are here working each and every day to build a community with a future for us, “hurrah!” we say. But let’s be more conscious of how we love each other. Let’s take the time to love her, not just on one, but each and every day. Let’s find rap lyrics and love songs that will make her feel better to play.
Grandma’s heart and mother’s hands are part of the plan. They paved the way. This Mother’s Day do something special — not just a gift, but write a letter, too. Write one for this month and the next and celebrate mothers every day.
For our mothers are doing all they can. They’re always praying. She sees the future of what we can do together. On this Mother’s Day, remember she had dreams before we traveled the birth canal to get a taste of the world. And, remember the mother who cries for mercy when her child goes before her.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and the surrogate moms who hold us close to their hearts, and near and dear. Find a poem to read to mom, for she may not be here next year.
Peace,
Munson Steed
