TEAM ADAM

SARAH SIMMONS
The song: “The Story” by Brandi Carlile

Feedback: Blake loves the extremes of her voice, mixing gravel and softness, and he also calls this song one of his all-time favorites. Shakira doesn’t know the song but thinks it suits Sarah’s voice, and Adam is too busy being envious of her voice’s refined diversity. Her coach calls her “one of the best singers we’ve had.”

JUDITH HILL
The song: “You’ve Got A Friend” by Carole King
The feedback: The coaches all think that Judith is amazing. Week after week, they expect a top-notch performance from Judith. Adam takes things a step further by claiming Judith is the most talented human being in the competition for the combination of her voice and the fact that she was her own accompaniment in that song. So I’ll ask you again, are our expectations set too high? What should Judith do next?

AMBER CARRINGTON
The song: “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” by Martina McBride
The feedback: Blake thinks she did both Martina McBride and country music proud and Usher believes her voice defies the laws of gravity. Adam thinks Amber is “mind-bogglingly” good, and she continues to impress him.
