A multitude of celebrities joined the throngs who thundered on the Washington Mall — both in person and on social media — in paying the ultimate homage to a time and group of people who sacrificed to bring about a just and balanced society through the March on Washington.
With President Obama and former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter joining the tribute on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and Soledad O’Brien and Hill Harper hosting the “Let Freedom Ring” ceremony and the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, Jamie Foxx, Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington in person or supporting the march in spirit, A-list celebrities abounded on the unforgettable day and movement in the District of Columbia.
