Atlanta’s dignitaries, socialites, philanthropists, music, entertainment and reality TV stars shined bright and dazzled during the 30th anniversary of the UNCF’s Mayor’s Masked Ball held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was joined by Dr. Michael L. Lomax, President and CEO of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), to host the 30th Annual Mayor’s Masked Ball. This marked Mayor Reed’s fourth UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball, an event which benefits UNCF and its 37 member colleges and universities. He was accompanied by fiancée Sarah Langford.
The 2013 list of distinguished honorees included Gladys Knight, Geri Thomas, Georgia State President of Bank of America; and James Patterson, conductor of Clark Atlanta University Jazz Orchestra.
Political dignitaries included Ambassador Andrew Young and his wife Carolyn, Bahamas Consulate General Randy Rolle, as well as philanthropists Hank and Billye Aaron. Celebrity guests included CeeLo Green, Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida, Fonzworth Bentley, Jasmine Guy, Kendra Johnson and radio personalities Frank and Tonya Ski and Sasha the Diva with her husband Kevin.
