Marwan (Soulflow) is a singer, songwriter, and producer originally from Decatur, Ill., now based in Chicago. With influences that range from Stevie Wonder to Usher, it’s safe to say he’s all about bringing the soul back to R&B.
For years Marwan has cut his teeth in the background having previously worked alongside multiplatinum and award-winning producers and songwriters, including Mike City (Carl Thomas, Usher, Babyface), St. Nick of the Underdogs (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson), Paul Allen of PAJAM (Paul Allen/J Moss/Walter Kearney) (J. Moss, Karen-Clark-Sheard, David Hollister), and music icon Kashif.
Now it’s Marwan’s time to shine. Having been named Clear Channel and iHeart Radio’s “Featured Artist of the Month” last October, and having his single “Eternal” added to the rotation of a number of stations across the country, Marwan is ready to go full throttle with the impending release of his album titled, Eternal.
But before we get to Eternal, Marwon has blessed us with the promising mixtape effort Mars/Venus: The Mixtape. The 44-track offering is full of snippets, interludes, freestyles, and songs that show off Marwan’s unique voice and songwriting ability.
Marwan shows and proves why it was indeed time for him to step to the forefront and show the world what he has to offer.
Marwan’s forthcoming album, Eternal, will be released later this year.
