Malaysia Pargo’s marriage seemed to be in trouble on the recent reunion special of “Basketball Wives L.A.,” but it seemed like there was hope for the couple when Pargo tearfully apologized to her husband, Jannero Pargo, and pledged to rebuild their connection. However, it seems as though things have fallen apart again, and for the final time, because Malaysia recently filed for divorce from Pargo.
According to TMZ, Malaysia filed for divorce in L.A. County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple has 3 kids together, a 7-year-old and 3-year-old twins, and Malaysia is asking for sole legal and physical custody, with Pargo getting visitation rights. Malaysia is also asking that Pargo pay spousal support as well as her lawyer’s fees.
According to the report, things have been rocky in Malaysia’s marriage for some time. The couple, who married back in 2006, legally separated on December 27, 2012.
Although the pair refrained from directly speaking too much about their marriage issues, the couple found themselves at odds at times on social media. Most recently, when Malaysia appeared on the “BBW LA” reunion, she explained that she threatened on Instagram to leave Pargo after she felt he was unsupportive over the recent death of her brother. Pargo posted his own remorseful responses online and Malaysia tearily apologized for lashing out at him during such an emotional moment.
Well, we offer up our condolences to both Malaysia and Pargo, and we hope that they can finally come to a better place of peace after the divorce. – nicholas robinson
