Music executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid was honored at the 3rd Annual Legends Dinner in Atlanta. Each year, American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ (ASCAP) Rhythm & Soul division recognizes individuals who have brought great honor to the city of Atlanta through their achievements in music. L.A. Reid has undeniably been a force introducing new talent including homegrown acts Usher, Outkast, TLC, Goodie Mob and more. Past recipients include Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Kandi Burruss, NE-YO, Michael Mauldin, Kendall Minter, Noontime Music and Perri “Pebbles” Reid.
Prolific singer-songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and actor Usher, will host the evening along with Grammy Award-winning rapper Big Boi from Outkast, and music executive and producer Kawan “KP” Prather. All three have a direct link to Reid as they have worked with him throughout their entire careers. Special guests include Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, NE-YO, 2Chainz, Andre 3000, Kandi Burruss,Monica, Marcus Canty, Leanne “LeLee” Lyons, Rich Homie Quan, and Dominique Wilkins amongst others.
